2020 – le stage d’orgue et pianoforte … ET SES 7 CONCERTS / the organ and pianoforte academy

Stage d’orgue et de pianoforte du 26 juillet au 1er août 2020 à Saessolsheim (Alsace, France), autour de l’orgue Bernard  Aubertin, 1995 et alentours (une dizaine d’orgues de la région, dont Marmoutier). Pianoforte : le stage fonctionnera avec deux pianoforte : une copie faite par Theo Kobald d’un instrument de Walter 1800 et un Schanz original de 1823.

. Le stage de pianoforte se déroulera cette année au couvent de Reinacker.

Ce stage est ouvert aux organistes de tous âges et de tous niveaux et aux pianistes souhaitant découvrir le pianoforte ou souhaitant se perfectionner en pianoforte.

Thèmes du stage :             

Orgue : répertoire varié, de la musique baroque à la musique romantique ; Improvisation dans le style baroque ; Initiation au clavicorde à pédalier

Pianoforte : à choisir dans : Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn (Felix et Fanny), Schumann, Chopin.

Coût : 200€ + hébergement, et repas

 

Les repas que nous organisons (souvent plats du jour dans des restaurants), sont aux alentours de 10€ par repas.

Hébergement : pour les stagiaires qui le souhaitent, nous pouvons disposer de chambres individuelles au couvent de Reinacker, qui est à 12km de Saessolsheim (15 minutes en voiture) : Foyer Notre Dame Lieu-dit : « Reinacker » 67440 Reutenbourg https://notredamedereinacker.pagesperso-orange.fr/htm/foyer.htm

Les activités concernant le pianoforte auront lieu au couvent de Reinacker, avec des possibilités d’hébergement et de repas. Les tarifs précis pour l’hébergement et les repas seront donnés plus tard. A titre indicatif, en 2019 le tarif de l’hébergement était : 38.84€ la nuit en chambre individuelle, salle de bain dans la chambre (petit déjeuner compris). Compter environ 58€ pour la pension complète, par journée.

Si deux personnes partagent une chambre : 33.84€ (petit déjeuner compris) par personne.

Notre association effectue les réservations pour les stagiaires qui souhaitent une chambre dans ce couvent, et nous centralisons les paiements.

❀ Dimanche 26 juillet à 18h : concert par Michel Gaechter au couvent de Reinacker. Les 3 dernières sonates de Beethoven jouées sur un pianoforte original de Schanz de 1823.

❀ Lundi 27 juillet à 19h : concert d’orgue par Claude Roser à l’église de Haegen. Œuvres de Bach, Couperin, Mendelssohn. Orgue Verschneider-Gaillard 1853/2005.

❀ Mardi 28 juillet à 19h : concert d’orgue par Francis Jacob à l’église de Sarralbe (Lorraine). Œuvres de J. S. Bach. Orgue Aubertin 1987.

Mercredi 29 juillet à 19h : concert d’orgue par Freddy Eichelberger à l’église de Saessolsheim. Œuvres de Schlick, Strungck, Scronx. Orgue Aubertin (1995).

Jeudi 30 juillet à 19h : concert d’orgue par Jan Willem Jansen à l’église protestante de Bouxwiller. Œuvres de Couperin, Bach. Orgue Silbermann 1779.

Vendredi 31 juillet à 19h : concert d’orgue par Benjamin Righetti à la chapelle de l’église Ste-Madeleine à Strasbourg. Œuvres de  Byrd, Nivers, Stanley. Orgue Silbermann 1719.

Samedi 1er août à 18h : concert de jazz par Pierre Jacob (orgue) et Fabrice Ley (saxophone) à l’église de Saessolsheim.

 

A propos des instruments de la série de concerts :

Les orgues retenus cette année sont :

  • Deux orgues de style baroque allemand construits par Bernard Aubertin à la fin du siècle dernier : Sarralbe et Saessolsheim.
  • Deux Silbermann : Bouxwiller, construit en 1779 (Johann Andreas Silbermann) et la chapelle de Ste-Madeleine à Strasbourg construit en 1719 (Andreas Silbermann).
  • un instrument 19è siècle revu par Michel Gaillard : Haegen

Un pianoforte :
• un pianoforte original de Johann Schanz de 1823.

Organ and pianoforte academy of Saessolsheim 2020 (organ, improvisation, clavichord)

• Organ and pianoforte-academy from july the 26 to august the 1st, 2020 in Saessolsheim (Alsace, France), around the B. Aubertin organ.

Theme of the academy : Organ : repertory from baroc to romantic. The organ lessons are given on the program indicated. Benjamin Righetti gives also some lessons on clavichord. Freddy Eichelberger and Francis Jacob will also work on improvisation.

Pianoforte : works on choice by : Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn (Felix and Fanny), Schumann, Chopin.

The pianist will have their own shedule, wis their teacher : Michel Gaechter. The organist will have (with exception of monday) lessons in small groups in the morning, and all together in the afternoon. The piano section will be situated this year in the convent of Reinacker (city of Reutenbourg). Pianoforte : two pianoforte will be available for the academy : a copy by Theo Kobald from a Walter from 1800 and an original by Johann Schanz from 1823.

 

• Organised by the Association des Amis de l’Orgue de Saessolsheim (Association of the friend of the organ of Saessolsheim), this academy is open to organists and pianists of every level.

– Beginning Sunday the 26th of july at 4 PM at the convent of Reinacker. For the people coming by train, a member of our association will take them at the station (there isn’t one in Reinacker) : choose best the station of Saverne. Possibility to come from the airport also.

Study organs are available in villages around Saessolsheim. Some solutions for sleeping are also outside of Saessolsheim. So it will be good if the participants who come by car could help to transport other participants. The association will organise exactly those drivings and give some money to the drivers for the cost. For pianoforte : depending of the number of participants, there will be one or two instruments copy(ies) made by Theo Kobald of instruments from Walter 1800 and Fritz.

The lessons will be mostly in French. Translation can be given if asked.

– the lessons are described in the specific document. For a good organisation, the participants are asked to give on a separated paper, with their inscription the complete list and the groups they want to integrate (specialy for the organists, or people wanting to have lessons on both instruments) and the pieces they want to play. The detail of the pieces can be given later, for the organist, the choice of the groups has to be done with the inscription. – sunday 2nd of august in the morning (or saturday evening, on choice) : back-travel of the participants.

• the teachers :

Freddy Eichelberger. Organist and harpsichord-player, he plays concerts as solist and as member of ensembles, and likes very much to do events which link music, theater, humour («Les Witches»). He likes to do and to teach improvisation.

Francis Jacob. Organist and harpsichord-player, he plays concerts as solist and as member of ensembles (Ricercar, Gli Angeli). He was winner of several organ competitions (Boulogne s/ Mer, Brugges). He is professor at the Conservatoire of Strasbourg, and does organ building with Bernard Aubertin.

Jan Willem Jansen (professor at the Conservatoire of Toulouse). He plays with the best barock-ensembles : La Chapelle Royale, EBL (Christophe Coin), Hesperion XX (Jordi Savall)…

Benjamin Righetti. After his studies in Switzerland and in Toulouse, he won several prices in international competitions, under those Freiberg and la Ville de Paris (both first price). Next organ, he plays clavicord.

Claude Roser. Diplomed of the regional conservatoire of Paris, teacher at the music-school of Saverne, C. Roser won the first prize of the Guilmant-organ-competition of Boulogne s/ Mer (1989).

Michel Gaechter. Pianoforte. Professor in the Conservatoire de Strasbourg. For many years, he took a groving interest in historical pianos, coming to play them as well in solo-concerts as in chamber music.

 

• Price : Pedagogical costs 200 Euros (50 Euros prepayed with the inscription). This price doesn’t include sleeping and eating.

We organise meals in restaurants, price about 10€ a meal.

For the participants who want, we can reserve rooms in the convent of  Reinacker, 12kms from Saessolsheim (15 minutes by car) : the exact place is : Foyer Notre Dame Lieu-dit : « Reinacker » 67440 Reutenbourg https://notredamedereinacker.pagesperso-orange.fr/htm/foyer.htm

The price was in 2019 (precise price for this year will be given soon, almost the same) : 38.84€ each night, single bed-room with bathroom and WC inside the room, breakfast included. For the pianists, they will gave possibility to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in Reinacker. About 58€ (room included) a day.

If two people share a room, the price is : 33.84€ (breakfast included) a night for each person.

The association will organise the drivings with the cars of the participants for the lessons and concerts. Lunch and dinner organised : about 10 Euros pro eating (with some exceptions). The association will give back : 0,15 Euros pro km to the participants for the ways of the academy (lessons and going back to the rooms for the one outside Saessolsheim, but not for the participants who find an other solution for sleeping, by friends for example).

In particular cases (financial difficulties), the Association can diminue the price of the participation. Ask for it if wanted.
